BTS’s V Explains The Real Reason He’s Been Frequently Wearing Hats

It wasn’t just to hide his new hair color.

BTS‘s V recently surprised fans when he transformed his curly dark hair into beachy blonde locks after ARMYs got a glimpse of his lighter hair when he traveled for overseas schedules at the end of May.

Following his appearance at the airport, ARMYs eagerly waited to see his new blonde hair. They had to wait a few days before he finally revealed his new look at his first solo fan meeting as a brand ambassador for Indonesia’s financing advisory firm, SimInvest.

The fan meeting was held on June 11 in Korea, and fans couldn’t get over how good V looked with his new hair.

While it’s common for idols to hide any changes to their hair ahead of a comeback or event, ARMYs noticed that V seemed to be keeping his hair covered even after his fan meeting.

V revealed in a recent Weverse livestream, where he showed his blonde hair in all of its glory, that covering it with hats wasn’t a coincidence, and it wasn’t just to hide his new hair color.

V began by telling fans he doesn’t often wear hats, but he’s been wearing them lately due to the damage to his hair from frequent bleaching.

Although the last time he bleached his hair was during BTS’s “Butter” promotions in 2021, he shared that the current damage makes his hair hard to manage, so he wears hats instead.

Even though he only recently bleached his hair, he’s already expressing his desire to dye it back to black.
