BTS‘s is gearing up for his first solo album, Layover, to be released on September 8. Before fans get to enjoy the whole album in its glory, the singer treated them with two music videos and over 20 concept photos.

Since the album’s announcement, every piece of content that has been released has won praise from ARMYs for its refreshing yet old-school charm. Many people also appreciated Min Hee Jin‘s visible touch in the project’s creative direction.

After the “Rainy Day” music video’s release on August 11, KST, V held a brief live broadcast on Weverse, discussing the upcoming album. While sharing some behind-the-scenes stories from the production process, he revealed an interesting fact about how Min Hee Jin, the CEO of ADOR and the creative genius behind NewJeans, stirred things up creatively and left him surprised.

V shared that he calls Min “noona,” indicating their close relationship. It seems like the ambiance of the project was also comfortable because of their ease with each other. The singer shared one particular incident that reflected it even better. While working on this album, Min Hee Jin once called up V and asked him to come over the following day if he was free. The next day, when V met her, she asked him to stand in certain places and pose while she clicked his photos.

V said it was the first time he had ever experienced such a photoshoot without any preparation.

So far, V has shared multiple concept photos for Layover, but it isn’t clear which one of those photoshoots he specifically referred to. Regardless, ARMYs praised the creative vision of Min Hee Jin, saying that V’s exceptional face was the perfect candidate to pull off such a low-effort photoshoot.
