BTS’s V Causes The Most Surprising Item To Sell Out After Showing Off His Christmas Gift
On on December 23, BTS’s V briefly turned on Weverse Live. The broadcast lasted about three minutes. As he walked into his home, V explained why he had suddenly decided to turn on his live stream.
He held up a piece of chocolate to the camera.
“I turned this on for a moment because I have something to show off. The taxi driver said, ‘It’s a surprise gift. A Christmas present — Turkish chocolate,’ and gave it to me. So I thanked him and accepted it. I came here to brag about it.”
With just those short words, the livestream ended almost immediately. The product V showed was chocolate from the Türkiye brand Tuvana. Immediately after the broadcast, the product quickly sold out.

The manufacturer, Tayas Gida, wrote on its official social media to address the situation.
“A small gift, a big smile. Today we witnessed a beautiful moment. Kim Taehyung sharing on livestream the chocolate he received from a taxi driver brought us great happiness and motivation.”
Türkiye’s largest daily newspaper, Hürriyet, did not overlook the moment. In an article titled “V Creates a Storm in the Turkish Chocolate Market,” the outlet reported:
“A marketing story was created in which all stock sold out in just 13 seconds. Kim Taehyung, who has 70 million followers, was touched by the Tuvana chocolate given by a taxi driver and went live, after which Korean distributors urgently ordered the equivalent of 25 containers of Tuvana chocolates.”
The response was indeed immediate. A few hours after V’s livestream ended, chocolate manufacturer Tayas Gida began receiving calls from major Korean distributors. There are seven distribution companies in Korea, and within hours of the livestream, all inventory was gone.
A three-minute livestream shook the global market through a single Christmas gift. It was yet another moment proving that V’s name itself is a brand and a promotion.
