BTS’s V Gets “Parasite”-Certified At Choi Woo Shik’s Fan Meeting
BTS‘s V is now an honorary member of the Parasite cast!
Director Bong Joon Ho‘s Parasite made movie history when it hit screens in 2019. This Oscar-winning, genre-defying film features a host of talented stars, including V’s friend, actor Choi Woo Shik. Choi Woo Shik played the role of Kim Ki Woo, son of the struggling Kim family, who conspire to infiltrate the world of the rich.
Before being hired by a wealthy family, the Kim family earned low wages as pizza box folders. At his fan meeting, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Choi Woo Shik tested his Wooga friends to see who could fold a pizza box the fastest. One of the prizes was this pair of Parasite sunglasses.
V folded his pizza box quickly, in less than 15 seconds, but not properly. Choi Woo Shik caught V trying to cut corners by using his thumb to hold down a flap that should have been tucked into the box. Disqualified!
Although V didn’t win the pizza box challenge, he fared much better at Choi Woo Shik’s friendship quiz, tying with actor Park Seo Joon for first place. Choi Woo Shik revealed that when Parasite won its awards, V and Park Seo Joon had been the first to congratulate him.

When Choi Woo Shik gave V and Park Seo Joon their prize, a gift coupon, all three posed with it while wearing Parasite glasses. The coupon says: “Gift Coupon. The right to use Choi Woo Shik.”
