The Cost Of Hotels In Busan Have Already Gone Up To Insane Prices, Thanks To BTS’s Upcoming Concert In October
It’s not been long since BTS announced their special concert to honor their roles as ambassadors at the 2030 World Expo. As the Expo will be held in Busan, the boys will be hosting a concert on October 15, 2022, in Busan. The concert will be held at the Busan Ilgwang Special Stage and all are welcome.
Many fans had begun to start booking their trips in advance. While you might think that the trip to Busan will only involve a plane or train ride, fans who are staying the night are in panic mode. They searched up the prices for hotels in that area only to find out…
…that hotels had already jacked up their prices. What would normally cost around ₩100,000 KRW (about $74.60 USD) per room, now cost ₩5.00 million KRW (about $3,730 USD). And remember, we’re talking about per night prices here!
While it definitely is reasonable for prices to be raised with sudden demand and popularity, fans have called out the spike of 500 times the original, is too much. With larger hotel chains such as Hilton and The Ritz, they would have been unable to raise the prices without jumping through red tape. On the other hand, smaller boutique hotels in South Korea are mostly famliy-owned and can thus, control price jumps.
