Cha Eunwoo Confesses He Has Many Regrets From “Rookie Historian Goo Hae-Ryung”

“My heart hurt…”

ASTRO‘s Cha Eunwoo recently won the Excellence Award at the 2019 MBC Drama Awards. He achieved the award thanks to his performance as the male lead on Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung.

During his acceptance speech, Cha Eunwoo thanked everyone for the love and support. But he also humbly confessed that he was not satisfied with his performance and had many regrets.

I didn’t expect to receive this honorary award, thank you. It was exciting to play out Lee Rim of Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung.

I felt lacking and have a lot of regrets. My heart hurt but looking back on it now, I think it was a precious time.

I learned a lot and felt a lot. I won’t forget everything I learned and experiences to become a better Cha Eunwoo.

— Cha Eunwoo

Cha Eunwoo played the role of Lee Rim, a prince who secretly worked as a romance novelist while not being aware that he was the true heir to the throne.

Cha Eunwoo’s upcoming acting project will be a web-drama titled Soul Plate featuring the rest of the ASTRO members and LABOUM‘s Solbin.

Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung is available to watch on Netflix.
