Chaebol Group “Shinsegae” Makes Rare Statement In Response To G-Dragon Dating Rumors

Korean conglomerate Shinsaegae Group has made a rare statement in response to rumors alleging G-Dragon was dating the granddaughter of the group’s president.

On January 10, a representative of the Shinsaegae group firmly denied the dating rumors.

It is absolutely not true. This was a simple ‘happening,’ and we are releasing an official statement to correct the speculative reporting.

Previously we reported that G-Dragon was spotted with a chaebol at a recent Mnet Street Man Fighter concert. Allegations stating the two were dating started swirling after a Chinese media outlet released an article in which the outlet alleged the couple was dating.

Korean netizens and domestic news outlets were skeptical of the dating allegations as the chaebol is a known friend of G-Dragon and many other artists with ties to YG Entertainment.

Shinsaegae is one of Korea’s largest conglomerates. The group is home to one of Korea’s largest department store franchises and was founded by the late Korean business magnate Lee Byung Chul, who also founded Samsung.
