On January 10, Chinese media outlets alleged that G-Dragon was spotted at the concert with a chaebol. Chaebols refer to a handful of families that are in charge of some of Korea’s largest conglomerates, such as Samsung, CJ, etc.
Korean boy group BIGBANG’s leader G-Dragon announced recently that he’s preparing a new album and will release new songs this year. There are also rumors of him going on a world tour, with Hong Kong being one of the stops. Although he’s busy with his music career, a dating rumor surfaced yesterday, as a photo of him and a daughter in a chaebol family attending the performance of a group from Mnet’s variety show Street Man Fighter circulated online. It’s been reported that G-Dragon’s new girl is the great grand-daughter of Samsung’s founder Lee Byung Chul. She also uploaded a photo of her attending the show with G-Dragon, with the two of them holding the same kind of lightstick.
According to Korean news reports, Korean netizens and news outlets dismissed the allegations as the chaebol member in the article is known to be a long-time friend of G-Dragon as well as multiple former and current YG Entertainment artists like CL and YGX dancer Deukie, who performed at the concert.
