Charges Have Been Filed Against Actress Lee Yeol Eum For Hunting Endangered Wildlife During Law Of The Jungle

She could face up to four years in prison.

South Korean actress Lee Yeol Eum is currently appearing on the variety survival show Law of the Jungle which is taking place in Thailand.

During the show, Lee Yeol Eum caught three giant clams in the Thai National Marine Park which were subsequently eaten by the cast members.

Narong Kongeiad is the chief of Hat Chao Mai National Park has filed police charges against the actress for violating local wildlife laws by hunting the clams. The charge carries a maximum penalty of four years in prison and a charge of up to $1,300.

The one who must be responsible is the actress who caught the shellfish because she directly violated the law. Others who were involved with the incident could be charged as well.

Seoul Broadcasting System issued a statement on Friday apologising for filming in the location without a thorough understanding of local regulations after previously claiming no wrong.
