Rising Actor’s Social Media Gets Clean Slate After Recent Controversies Jeopardize His Career

Was it “a little too late” or not necessary at all?

Two weeks after getting slammed for his Instagram “Following,” The Trauma Code: Heroes On Call rising actor Choo Young Woo folded and gave himself a clean slate, so it seems.

When it was reported that Choo Young Woo followed and then unfollowed streamer KUBIN, who was deemed “controversial” for creating content using sexual clickbait, the actor apologized during an interview and promised to “be more careful in the future.”

Except, the interview brought forward a long-time fan who dubbed him a “repeat offender” and claimed that he had been warned about his social media activities before. The fan revealed that when Choo Young Woo was first approached about it back in 2021, he removed about 30 “questionable” models and streamers from the list of accounts that he follows. The fan included a screenshot of the actor thanking them for good advice…

Rising Actor Choo Young Woo Get Outed As “Repeat Offender”

…and after making the same mistake twice, Choo Young Woo must have taken the advice to heart. As of February 15, 2025 (KST), the actor has wiped the slate clean and unfollowed all accounts, bringing him back to 0. Given how persistent the gossip involving his social media activities was, the actor must have thought it best to leave no room for error.

The decision has still left the internet in further discussion. Some commented that the clean-up came a little too late, while others thought that he didn’t need to unfollow anyone on his own following list.
