Tan will be playing Do Kyeom, a student who is the “object of many students’ envy for his kind personality and good looks.” In a statement, he said that he is looking forward to trying something new.

I took on my first acting challenge as Lee Do Kyeom in Phantom School. I am excited and nervous, but I will try to show you the best of me as an actor. My role in this drama is different from what I have shown with Ciipher. I am excited to show you a new look. Please look forward to it and give me a lot of support.
