Following this was an intense online debate on the nature of their exchange, with some saying she was assaulted and others that she was simply greeted energetically by a friend.
one of clc’s MALE staff members (a manager?) put his hands on seungyeon when she was literally just walking?? and she just walked off like it’s normal? cube needs to fix this right now and more people need to bring attention to it #supportforseungyeon pic.twitter.com/PuSYonppE4

Guys, my friend analyzed the video, she's a fan of clc, she says, that it looks like that the guy was trying to remove the bear from Seungyeon's hands, and that it looks like she pushed it back… I think it makes sense because she comebacks without the bear https://t.co/xSeawtNIzO

On August 23, Seungyeon went on Instagram to explain the situation. She clarified that nothing bad happened and she was simply joking around with a friend.
Hey guys! I know that there has been a drama about the clip at Soribada festival yesterday. I would like to make it clear that nothing bad happened yesterday at all!! I was just joking around with one of my friend in front of our green room. I think it was because of the ANGLE that made everyone think that something bad happened to me yesterday. Thank you so much for worrying about me guys but ABSOLUTELY NOTHING BAD HAPPENED so there’s nothing to worry about.

We’re just glad she’s okay!
