They also warned the people responsible for spreading these rumors—they would take legal action against anyone who hurt the actor.

We will take strong legal measures because we cannot tolerate the current situation that damages the reputation of the actor and causes not only the parties but also the family members to suffer… We are monitoring and tracking the IP of the distributors.

Park Na Rae’s agency, JDB Entertainment, also announced an official announcement saying that they could no longer overlook the current situation that damages the reputation of their artist and causes suffering to not only the comedian but also her family and surrounding people.

Like Sung Hoon’s agency, JDB Entertainment claimed they would take legal action against rumors with groundless facts to protect their artists.

We will take legal action against all acts, such as the initial creation and dissemination of malicious rumors, expanding and reproducing groundless facts, and there will be no consultation or leniency… JDB Entertainment will do its best to protect the rights and interests of its artists.

This isn’t the first time malicious rumors spread through online communities caused agencies to speak out to protect their artists. Many celebrities, such as the Ko Woo Rim and Kim Yuna couple, the Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin couple, and others, have suffered rumors based on groundless information.
