On May 9, Jimin was announced to be featured on “Angel Pt. 1,” a track for the upcoming Fast & Furious film Fast X. The track will also feature American musicians Kodak Black, NLE Choppa, JVKE, and Muni Long.

Fast & Furious is a massive franchise that has released films for over twenty years, becoming a household name. While this is not Jimin’s feature American in a Hollywood film’s soundtrack, fans were excited as this is a new original song.

Many acknowledged the line-up for the track was somewhat “random,” discussing the fact in a joking manner.

Others have more serious concerns with some of the artists that are on the song.

NLE Choppa, a 20-year-old rapper, has been accused of domestic abuse by the mother of his daughter. The artist even confirmed in tweets that he attempted to shoot her, abet “before she got pregnant,” and was accused by the woman of shooting at a house his daughter was in.

Kodak Black has had numerous legal issues throughout his life, and the most discussed is the accusations of rape that he went to trial over. In 2017, a teenage girl described a violent experience with the rapper that she did not consent to.

Ultimately, Kodak Black entered a plea deal, pleading guilty to a lesser charge of first-degree assault and battery in a sexual case.

The rapper was sentenced to 46 months in federal for lying on background-check paperwork related to firearms — only serving ten months before former president Donald Trump commuted his sentence.

Many fans have voiced their concerns, stating they cannot support this release.
