On social media, a post recently went viral when a fan shared their experiences at a Crush concert.

According to one of the two fans, the singer avoided touching their hands while high-fiving and touching others in the front row of the show. In the clip, Crush is seen touching the front-row fans’ hands before he pauses and backs away a little, nodding in the audience’s direction before continuing.

The OP (original poster) of the video recounted the experience on Twitter, saying that one of their friends moved their hand away to allow the singer to get to them, but he skipped over the two, still managing to touch the friend’s lowered hand.

When the tweets were shared, Crush received a lot of criticism from fans. Many believed that the idol had missed out on the two fans on purpose due to the color of their skin.

After the clips were posted and netizens raised their anger, the idol took to social media to respond to the allegations. In the post, Crush explained that after so long away from crowds, he was naturally excited and walked to the crowds.

I’ve been away for roughly 2 years and being able to perform on stage with my dearest fans in the audience was such an unforgettable and long-awaited experience, so I naturally and instinctively walked towards and reached down to the crowd.

Crush then explained that he did refrain from giving out high-fives but that it was not for any reasons related to the fans particularly, but explained that safety was becoming an issue. He revealed that while he was giving out high-fives in that section, fans were getting close and pushing, so he chose not to continue.

Fans were getting too close to the fences holding up the audience section and I saw that those in the front row were getting pushed against the fence, so I made a quick judgment not to approach for the safety of my fans.

The idol finished by apologizing for the misunderstandings, adding that he loves all of his fans and would never show favoritism or discrimination against anyone.

I sincerely apologize for the misunderstanding that my actions may have caused. I love each and every one of my fans and I would never discriminate nor favor anyone.

Yet, when the apology was posted, the original OP took to social media to refute Crush’s claims. In a recent tweet, the user shared a video from their perspective, adding that they were right at the front, and there was no issue of pushing or something dangerous that would’ve stopped Crush from touching their hands.

When asked whether it was because of restrictions due to COVID-19 as the friends weren’t wearing gloves or they were in the wrong area, OP explained that nobody was wearing gloves and they were at the front of the show from the start.

The user then explained that they would’ve understood the safety issues if Crush took a decision to miss out for those reasons. Yet, OP added that not only was everyone around them comfortable, he touched the hands of two people near both of them.
