Originally developed for SM Entertainment artists, the app now covers other idols such as ITZY, Stray Kids and more. The company plans to expand the app even further, with plans to allow domestic actors and sports stars to onboard within 2021. They also plan on engaging global artists and global sports stars in due time. In order to entice such global players to join Dear U. Bubble, a minimum guarantee will be offered to them in advance. Global expansion is planned for within the first half of 2022.

Furthermore, Dear U. Bubble plans on opening a digital in-app store by the first half of 2022 as well. The store will sell goods and more of the respective celebrities. They also plan on setting up a live broadcasting function by the end of 2022.

In-keeping with the metaverse trend, Dear U. Bubble plans on launching a beta version of their metaverse, My Home, in the first half of 2022. A full version will be launched after 2023 called Bubble World. A metaverse, simply explained, is a virtual reality space in which users can interact with a computer-generated environment and other users. It is not yet released however, on what Bubble World and My Home entails.
