Dispatch Reports On NewJeans Meeting Wealthy Japanese Grandfather

They met up with him more than once.

On February 23, Dispatch released a report on Min Hee Jin and her plan for NewJeans’ demise.

On November 28, 2024, NewJeans announced the termination of their contract at the press conference and revealed they would proceed with the previously promised schedules. However, the next day, they retracted their statement, informing ADOR of their intention to refuse activities.

On November 29, 2024, they stated that filming exclusive content for the Japanese fan club would be difficult. They boycotted the fan club kit, New Year’s greetings, and ID photo shoot, and instead, flew to Japan to meet Goh Kazumichi, known to be of Japanese noble descent. Who brought them there? Min Hee Jin.

Goh Kazimichi, born in 1954, is a major figure in Japanese racing. He founded Team Goh and is known as a wealthy man, with his maternal grandfather the founder of Bridgestone and his paternal grandfather the former executive director of Nissin Flour Mills.

Min Hee Jin first met Kazumichi in 2024, and according to a close source, “Min Hee Jin needed money at the time, and that’s how she was introduced to the Japanese grandfather.”

Min Hee Jin called NewJeans to come to Tokyo and arranged for the entire group to meet the grandfather, who was a huge fan. It appears she actively capitalized on his status as a fan.

According to Dispatch’s investigation, NewJeans met with the grandfather in Japan at least three times. They met him altogether in January and also visited separately and together in March and April.

NewJeans even celebrated the grandfather’s birthday, reportedly delivering gifts and handwritten letters. A source stated, “Min Hee Jin said he was an important person. The members were skeptical, but prepared accordingly.”

What was Min Hee Jin looking for with this old man? A source familiar with the situation speculated, “They met in earnest after the contract termination announcement. It appears they discussed investment.”

Meanwhile, in March 2025, NewJeans released the song “Pitstop” under the group name NJZ. Could this be a tribute to Kazumichi?
