Dispatch has revealed how Park Min Young lied about receiving money from her controversial ex-boyfriend Kang Jong Hyun.
In their exclusive report, Dispatch noted how Park Min Young initially stated she was unaware of Kang Jong Hyun’s antics while dating him, and broke up with him. At that time, Park Min Young also drew the line when it came to Kang Jong Hyun’s monetary support for her, saying she never received financial support from him, and her sister even resigned from her position as a director for a company affiliated with him.
Park Min Young’s Label Responds To Dating Allegations, Claims The Couple Has Already Broken Up
However, Dispatch’s report showed how Park Min Young received ₩250 million KRW (about $190,000 USD) while dating Kang Jong Hyun. The money was sent from Kang Jong Hyun’s company to Park Min Young’s personal bank account through a three step process: Money from Kang Jong Hyun’s affiliate company was taken and then disguised as a loan, then sent to Park Min Young’s account. The money was disguised as “living expenses.”
Kang Jong Hyun has been accused of embezzling over ₩60.0 billion KRW (about $45.7 million USD) in funding from Bithumb and its affiliates. Dispatch reached out to both Kang Jong Hyun and Park Min Young related to this. Kang Jong Hyun’s side declined to answer. Park Min Young’s side received Dispatch’s questions, but have not sent back any answers.
Park Min Young’s agency Hook Entertainment told MBC they are looking into Dispatch’s report.
Back in September 2022, it was revealed by Dispatch how Park Min Young and Kang Jong Hyun were in a relationship.
