EXO’s D.O. Speaks Up About Not Being Able To Be At Bestie Kim Woo Bin’s Wedding

EXO‘s D.O. (also known as Do Kyungsoo) is known to be close to actor Kim Woo Bin. Many were anticipating the congratulatory song to be sung by D.O. during Kim’s wedding to longtime girlfriend Shin Min Ah.

In an interview with SPOTV News on December 11, D.O. admitted that he would be unable to attend due to work.

“It breaks my heart, but I should make it up to (Kim) Woo Bin hyung even more.”

Kim Woo Bin and Shin Min Ah will hold their wedding on December 20 at the Shilla Hotel in Seoul. On the same day, EXO will be appearing as a full group at the 2025 Melon Music Awards, so D.O. will be unable to attend the wedding.

“It’s only natural. Work is important, and I also believe EXO has to come first. Even though it really pains me not to attend, I need to treat Woo-bin hyung even better. Hyung understands that there’s nothing I can do. Of course we’re both sad, but we completely understand each other, so it’s okay.”

When asked how he plans to make it up to Kim Woo Bin, it seems like he’s worrying over a gift.

“I’m thinking hard about what I should do after this. What should I give him? That’s what I’m worried about. I naturally assumed I would be the one singing the wedding song. I knew about hyung’s wedding plans early on. But then EXO got confirmed for MMA, so it wasn’t about choosing. There was simply no option but to do the award show. I worried a lot about how to tell him. We were both really disappointed. I was going to sing ‘Popcorn’ as the congratulatory song. I have no idea who’s singing it now. I’ve been excluded, removed from Woo Bin hyung’s line of sight.”
