In June this year, ENHYPEN kicked off the their FATE PLUS world tour, which included five stops in Japan, including Saitama, Fukoka, Hiroshima, Aichi, and Miyagi. During their Saitama show, the members filmed some behind-the-scenes content backstage and during an interview, they were asked what they wanted to do after the tour.

The members responded with simple pleasures, such as eating and sleeping together. When asked where they would like to travel together, Jay replied that somewhere nearby would be the most preferred. He reiterated that all they wanted to do on a trip was eat together and get plenty of sleep. Niki then added that there shouldn’t be any cameras in their faces while they sleep or eat, and Jake agreed that someting as simple as that would be enough for all of them.

The interview clip has gone viral on social media, leaving fans heartbroken. Many have started to call out BeLift Lab and HYBE for their mismanagement of the group to the point where their earnest wish was to just rest without having cameras pointed at them.

Despite fans’ desperate demands for ENHYPEN to get more rest, it was revealed shortly after that the group is actually scheduled to have another album release, followed up by a tour between the third or the fourth quarter of 2024. Needless to say, this new discovery has led to even more outrage in the fandom.

In the current situation, the call for boycotting HYBE seems to be spreading across fanbases, given the back to back health concerns displayed by multiple of their idols. Many feel that withholding monetary support is the only way any HYBE subsidiary will respect fans’ voices in demanding for better treatment fo their idols.

Meanwhile, recently an ENHYPEN fan received an album containing biohazard materials, leading to K-Pop fans questioning HYBE’s quality control procedures. You can read more about it here.
