How ENHYPEN’s Sunghoon Actually Found Out He Wouldn’t Be An MC On “Music Bank” With IVE’s Jang Wonyoung
Since last October, netizens have loved tuning in every week to watch ENHYPEN‘s Sunghoon and IVE‘s Jang Wonyoung as the MCs of KBS’s Music Bank.
Each week, they’ve treated netizens to some of the cutest interactions and formed a strong friendships with each other. Whether they were performing, supporting, or teasing each other, they definitely radiated sibling energy.
It meant that when it was announced that Sunghoon would be stepping down from his role, a lot of people watched the recent episode with a heavy heart as they saw “Jangkku” for the last time.
As sad as fans were, it seemed like the whole announcement shocked the young idol.
During a live broadcast after the show, Sunghoon explained that he wanted to chat with fans to see how they felt. He must’ve known that many were extremely sad after hearing the news that he wasn’t going to be an MC anymore.
He also added that considering ENHYPEN’s busy schedule with tour preparations and performances, continuing his role as the MC wouldn’t have worked very well.
However, what Sunghoon said next shocked fans as the idol revealed that he knew about the news around the same time as netizens.
Rather than giving him time to process the news, it came as a surprise when he was told the day before his last show.

Although it wasn’t expected, Sunghoon still couldn’t stop praising his fellow MC, Jang Wonyoung.
The IVE singer is much younger than Sunghoon, but he explained that her experience as an idol really helped him, especially as she debuted first as part of IZ*ONE, adding, “I got a lot of help from her.”
After the final episode for Sunghoon, fans worldwide couldn’t stop sharing their praise for the idol and everything he has done since becoming an MC. Although they will miss him working with Jang Wonyoung, he has truly shined in the role.

Even though the MC duo might have ended, it hopefully won’t be the last time Jang Wonyoung and Sunghoon get to interact. Whether it’s performances or ENHYPEN’s next Music Bank appearance, netizens are eagerly anticipating their next interaction.
