EXID Hani’s Fiancé Comes Under Fire Again Over Patient Death After His Clinic’s Doctor Gets Arrested
EXID member Hani’s fiancé, Yang Jae Woong, a well-known psychiatrist, is facing renewed criticism after a doctor working at the clinic owned by him was arrested in relation to a patient’s death.

As per the Gyeonggi Southern Provincial Police Agency, their Mobile Criminal Investigation Unit arrested Dr. “A,” who treated the deceased patient at Yang’s clinic, on October 20, KST. He has been charged with professional negligence resulting in death. Reports stated that the Incheon District Court’s Bucheon Branch conducted a pre-arrest suspect interrogation of Dr. A and issued the arrest warrant, citing that they were concerned about the potential destruction of evidence.
Dr. A stands accused of failing to take proper safety measures, leading to the death of a patient, a woman in her 30s, who was being treated for her addiction to diet pills containing narcotics. A total of 11 suspects, including Yang Jae Woong, have been booked by the police in connection with this case.
Yang has maintained that the hospital was not at fault in the patient’s death. However, with Dr. A’s arrest, the situation has gained renewed attention from the public. When this case first came to the light in 2024, Yang and Hani had to push their wedding back. There have been no updates about the couple’s wedding since then, and with the current situation, many are wondering how things might turn out for them in the future.
