Some fans said they anticipated this happening.

As K-Pop has become more popular across the world, idols have appeared in more local content for the country they’re visiting. This includes a fan-favorite series created by BuzzFeed, where the celebrity reads “thirst” tweets about themselves.

The severity of the tweets usually ranges from artist to artist, likely based on management’s approval.

Recently, EXO‘s Kai appeared on the show, much to the surprise and enjoyment of fans.

The idol read through several tweets, ranging from sweet to spicy, with many discussing his body being selected for the show. Some that were simply funny to read were also picked, adding some variety.

However, after the episode aired and more netizens began to watch, some pointed out something very wrong with the episode.

Of the thirst tweets Kai read, several were were pointed out by their original posters to have been read by the “wrong Kai.”

The Kai referenced in the tweets is actually TXT‘s Hueningkai, who fans sometimes refer to as Kai, likely leading to the mix-up.

A grand total of three tweets were found to be about Hueningkai instead of Kai, which sparked a range of reactions. Many found the mix up to be humorous, understanding how it could happen as a fluke.

Others were disappointed by mix up happening three times, claiming that it would not take long to double check who the subject of a tweet is based on the user’s activity.
