Fact Check: Did The Tattooist Of aespa Winter’s “Couple Tattoo” With BTS’s Jungkook Address The Dating Rumors?
As the dating rumors surrounding aespa‘s Winter and BTS‘s Jungkook reach a peak, another indirectly involved party is reportedly speaking up.
Over the past few months, rumors have circulated that the two idols are in a relationship, with many initially being skeptical of the evidence presented. This proof consisted of what many considered to be coincidences involving matching clothing or other items.

However, more recently, netizens have observed that the two idols appear to have matching “couple” tattoos. The tattoo, a small piece featuring three dogs drawn in a row, is known to be one of Winter’s tattoos; however, a photo of Jungkook from his military discharge appears to show that he also has it.
This has caused netizens to re-examine all previous proof and question the idols’ companies.

Amid all of this, an alleged post from the tattoo artist that supposedly tattooed Winter has gained attention.
A post of a screenshot where a tattoo artist claimed to be secretly dating Winter because of his matching tattoo was cited as proof that the matching tattoos did not mean anything.

Going on the tattoo artist’s page, the post in question is actually from October 24, well before any of the rumors about the tattoos surfaced.

The artist posted the design for the tattoo on May 8, 2025, with a post coming on the 12 where he shared more of the dog tattoos. In the caption of that post, he remarked that they were becoming popular and that he had even heard that aespa’s Winter had one like it, no mention of if he had done her tattoo or not.

So rather than the commentary and lowkey denial that the X post gaining attention implies, this tattoo artist, at least based on what he has posted so far, does not have any further insight to a relationship between Jungkook and Winter. What is true is that there are many tattoos with similar styling, though not exactly the same, that people have gotten done.
