Fans Call Out SM For Unfair Treatment Of NCT DREAM
Recently, the NCT YouTube channels released behind-the-scene videos from last year’s award ceremonies for each group sub-unit.
However, an online community post garnered attention, as NCT DREAM fans expressed their frustration with the group’s unfair treatment.
After the video was released, fans were pleasantly surprised to receive content quickly, but this changed after they saw other group’s videos being posted.
Although short, I was pleasantly surprised seeing that they posted NCT DREAM’s video first at 8 PM…but then I saw that the other group’s video was 40 minutes long…
Fans’ frustration with the treatment of the group exploded after seeing the comparisons with other sub-units.
- “The results after holding everything in and not sending any protest trucks: horrible 4th album promotions, only team not to attend the year-end ceremony, incredibly short behind-the-scene videos, and no new YouTube content.”
- “I know we shouldn’t compare, but seeing the other groups have at least 20 minutes…was 10 minutes the best you could do? Should we be thankful for even getting anything? But I am baffled after seeing the difference in length.”
- “I can’t help but laugh at the difference in video length. DREAM- 11 minutes, WISH- 21 minutes, 127- 39 minutes. Even if it’s because they had the AAA content, DREAM’s is still short even if you take that out. And why didn’t DREAM have any AAA content? Because they left us out!”
However, some netizens had differing opinions on the matter.
- “The fans have been hoping that once 127 starts military service, they would promote less and only DREAM would be active, but after 127’s military service started, they kept releasing albums, holding concerts and tours, and so they’ve gone mad. Those who have even a bit of interest know that content length? Those are all excuses.”
- “I saw both behind-the-scene videos yesterday, but 127 made additional content within their own content. Don’t you think there was a difference in video length because they just didn’t have much to show for DREAM?”

- “I think those fans are just annoyed that despite having two members in the military and one leaving the group, the six members continue to prove themselves without losing their core.”
