Recently, ZEROBASEONE’s Sung Hanbin was involved in a controversy regarding his statement in a YouTube program.
On the show, member Matthew revealed that Hanbin made a strange sound when driving over speed bumps, similar to moaning.
This received massive backlash online, with netizens stating that he was mimicking a woman moaning, calling him misogynistic.

As the issue escalated, Hanbin apologized three times, stating that he had reflected on his actions.

With this, many netizens and fans spoke out to defend Hanbin.
- “I cannot believe how far this has gone. Hanbin has been known for being upright and kind-hearted, and given his personality, it seems he didn’t even consider it a woman’s moan when he said it. Seriously, take this post down.”
- “If you’re disappointed, then be disappointed by yourself. Don’t post things like this. Sung Hanbin isn’t that kind of person. Why should he get criticized for just trying to make people laugh?”
