Recently, SHinee World (SHINee’s fandom) posted on their official account.

SM is abusing fans. Changes to notices without consent are fraudulent. Cancel immediately.

They expressed outrage over the sudden announcement of the addition of identity verification for Minho’s solo concert scheduled for December.

In the announcement, SM declared that attendees must present their tickets, verify their identity with an ID, and receive a wristband to enter the concert. They added that this decision was made due to the frequent occurrence of illegal activities involving the use of other identities to purchase tickets.

They added, “All forms of identification other than your physical ID will not be accepted. Please ensure that you bring the necessary documents. Please be aware that additional personal information may be requested during the identity verification process.”

They also urged fans to bring their official fan club mobile membership card for pre-sale tickets and cautioned that tickets and wristbands cannot be reissued under any circumstances.

It was revealed that the fans were not angry about the identity verification process, but rather protested the sudden addition of procedures with only a short time remaining until the concert.

They stated that there was no consultation with the fandom during the process, only issuing a formal notice on November 21. This notice can only be found on the ticket reservation website. Fans are demanding an official apology from the agency.

K-Netizens couldn’t understand why they would add this after all tickets had been sent out.

  • “What do they want us to do if they make these changes after tickets have been sent out?”
  • “This is just abuse of power if they’re posting this after sending out the tickets.”
  • “What do you mean by identity verification? It was up to two tickets for one person.”
  • “What’s up with this nonsense of changing the rules after sending out the tickets?”
  • “They should have announced it before ticketing…first time seeing someone post about verification after ticketing.”
  • “Does this even make sense? They sold it for up to two tickets per person.”

Meanwhile, Minho’s upcoming concert is scheduled for December 13 and 14 in Seoul.
