“Feuding Exes” Attendance For “Reply 1988” Reunion Draws Hot Attention

The Reply 1988 team is set to reunite after 10 years. Led by production company Egg Is Coming, the Reply 1988 team is planning a group retreat (MT) this October at an undisclosed location in Gangwon Province.

Reply 1988 was the third installment of the Reply series and aired in 2015. The drama was hugely popular, recording a peak viewership rating of 18.8% nationwide among paid households, and helped boost the public recognition of stars like Girl’s Day’s Hyeri, as well as actors Park Bo Gum and Ryu Jun Yeol.

News of the Reply 1988 reunion also drew attention to whether Hyeri and Ryu Jun Yeol would attend. The two went public with their relationship for over eight years before breaking up in 2023. The breakup was a messy affair, bringing in actress Han So Hee for a feuding love triangle.

On August 14, Hyeri’s agency Sublime confirmed that she would be attending the reunion. In contrast, Ryu Jun Yeol is said not to be attending as he is currently filming the Netflix series The 8 Show.
