Over the last year, all eyes have been on FIFTY FIFTY following the release of the track “Cupid.”  Following a fan-made sped-up version going viral on TikTok, the group’s song entered the Billboard 100 as the English and Korean versions were used by content creators worldwide, only increasing its popularity.

Unfortunately, this rise in popularity did not come without difficulties and legal battles between the group, ATTRAKT, and others involved in the track ensued.

Following legal battles, only one member of the group has returned to the company, Keena, and has been promoted as FIFTY FIFTY with plans to add new members.

The track has continued to be successful, however, despite the group’s legal battles, and recently was announced to be the first K-Pop girl group in history to reach a major Billboard milestone.

On November 21, Billboard released its Year-End Hot 100 Songs chart, reflecting the best-performing songs of the year. In the past, Psy, Pinkfong, and BTS were the only K-Pop artists to rank on this chart.

FIFTY FIFTY‘s “Cupid” came in at number 44 on the list, coming just before “Search & Rescue” by Drake, “Barbie World” by Nicki Minaj & Ice Spice with Aqua.

BTS’s Jungkook also ranked on the chart, coming in at 82 with “SEVEN.”

Congratulations to both artists for making the chart, and FIFTY FIFTY for making history!
