Former SM Entertainment Trainee Suffers Horrifying Fall While Pregnant With Twins

Kim Jihye, a former SM Entertainment trainee and member of the 2006 girl group Cats, recently revealed that she suffered a terrifying fall at home while pregnant with twins.

The singer took to social media to share her experience, opening up about the frightening ordeal and urging other expectant mothers to be cautious. Kim described the moments after the fall as chaotic and emotional.

“It was a nightmare of a morning. I was just walking around the house when I tripped and suddenly fell.
I wasn’t running or moving quickly, I just lost my balance and fell hard, straight onto my stomach. I don’t remember the exact moment I fell. It happened so fast. I remember my stomach hitting the floor, and I think I instinctively braced myself with my arms and curled up, but my knees were bleeding, my arm wouldn’t move, and I was clutching my belly.
My husband, who was in the living room, came running over in shock and called 119. I wanted nothing more than to get to the hospital as quickly as possible to check if the babies were okay, but the time spent in the car was pure agony.
No matter how many hospitals we called, none had space, and no OB-GYNs were available. We couldn’t go anywhere for hours. And of all days, it had to be the weekend, everything was even more difficult. We ruled out orthopedic clinics early on because of the X-rays. I was so desperate to see an OB-GYN, but in the end, I couldn’t.”

Fortunately, after hours of waiting, Kim was finally able to get a check-up, and both babies were confirmed to be healthy. She admitted to breaking down in tears upon hearing their heartbeats.

“A few hours later in the morning, we were finally able to visit a nearby hospital for an initial check-up, and thank goodness, the babies are both healthy.
I cried so much the moment I heard their heartbeats. I thought that because I was so desperate to protect them, I could do anything. But now, I feel filled with guilt and despair for not being able to keep them safe even before they were born.
I’m posting this because I know many of my followers are doing IVF or are pregnant. I really hope you’ll be careful. I had never heard of pregnant women falling before, but when I looked it up, I saw that it’s quite common because the baby’s weight throws off your balance. Please, please walk slowly and carefully, and never ever wear slippers at home.”

She also advised that during late-night emergencies, it may be faster to go directly to the hospital rather than relying on emergency services. Now recovering at home with a non-functioning arm, Kim says she plans to take time to rest and comfort her family, who were also shaken by the incident.

“If you do fall, be sure to check for contractions or bleeding. And if it happens in the middle of the night, 119 might not be able to take you to a hospital (most of them decline), so it may actually be faster to go directly to the hospital yourself.
Let’s all take good care of ourselves and stay healthy. Pregnant women can’t really take any medication, so the best thing we can do is be extra cautious. I’m sure reading this has made a lot of you worried, but I’m okay now. Although, one of my arms still isn’t moving, so I’ll be spending a lot of time lying down at home.
For now, I’m going to rest and comfort my family of four, who were all shaken by this. Thank you for reading this long post.
And to the 119 paramedic who’s been checking in and worrying ever since I mentioned I was expecting—thank you so much for your continued support and help.”

We hope she gets better soon and has a healthy pregnancy!
