“Pour It Over My Body”: YOUNG POSSE’s “Questionable” Debut Sparks Mixed Reactions, Including Concerns

Recently, major X account @nugupromoter and other netizens pointed out how lyrics from the group’s song “soju” from the album Growing Pain pt.1 : Free seem extremely inappropriate for a group that has underage members. They shared examples of the lyrics and their anger towards the words.

Some pointed out that the group has always been controversial, and netizens have constantly been raising concerns since they debuted.

Fans tried to defend the lyrics, bringing up possible non-explicit meanings and that the lyrics were written and sang by the older members who are of age.

Yet, even fans trying to defend the groups didn’t sit well with netizens. They thought that the older members writing it or the minors not singing it didn’t take away from the fact that the company accepted it, and the youngest members were still involved in the songs. In particular, some added that if a group and the older members wanted to use these kinds of concepts, they should not debut with such young idols.
