Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun Indirectly Gives An Update On Their Relationship With Sunny After Her Departure From SM

Sunny has been pretty quiet as of late.

This year, Girls’ Generation will celebrate their 18th anniversary as a group since their debut.

They have remained active as solo artists, as their activities as a group have slowed. Still, the group were able to come together for a comeback in honor of their fifteenth anniversary and a special single release recently. This feat can be very difficult for idols further along in their careers.

This can be made more difficult when idols are no longer under the same company, like in the case of Girls’ Generation. Of the members, only Taeyeon, Hyoyeon, Yuri, and Yoona are still under SM Entertainment, with Sunny being the member to have left SM Entertainment most recently.

Since her departure, there have been few mentions of Sunny on her own social media and from the members.

However, one of the members recently gave an indirect update on Sunny!

Girls’ Generation‘s Seohyun appeared on Girls’ Day Hyeri‘s YouTube program, where the two idols discussed several topics in their history as idols.

Seohyun is the maknae of the group, and as such, the topic of informal speech came up with Hyeri asking who she speaks informally with. Seohyun shares that she has with Hyoyeon, Yuri, Tiffany, and Sooyoung of the group.

She also mentioned that she had tried it with Sunny, but only in their group chat.

Seohyun added that when she went back and forth Sunny asked why she was going back and forth between informal and formal speech.

This update that Sunny is active with the members in a group chat has excited fans, who haven’t heard much from the idol recently.

A previous version of this article incorrectly spelled Seohyun’s name. This typo has been corrected.
