Goo Hye Sun Additionally Addresses Accusations Of Hypocrisy After Criticizing Ex-Husband
Actress Goo Hye Sun, who recently called out her ex-husband and actor Ahn Jae Hyun, has issued an additional statement regarding accusations of hypocrisy. She recently accused Ahn of using their divorce and relationship as fodder for his appearances on TV.
After posting her initial remarks aimed at Ahn, Goo edited the post around 5 a.m. on August 9 to add a clarification.

“P.S.: This post refers to events that occurred after the divorce settlement with my ex-spouse. I find it regrettable when media reports link this to pre-settlement conflicts, as it blurs the point I am making.”
On August 8, Goo had posted a lengthy message on her personal account, criticizing Ahn directly.
“Even though my divorce from my ex-husband was far from amicable, I believe that making continuous, indirect references that could point to me—especially in ways that blur the line between joke and seriousness—is an act of cowardice. Likewise, for those in the industry who produce sensational gossip shows, to ask leading questions about this matter or to offer performative ‘consolation’ is to inflict secondary harm on the person involved, causing deep wounds.”
Her remarks are seen as criticism directed at both Ahn and the media. Recently, Ahn appeared on KBS2’s Going and Coming Affection Lee Min Jung, saying, “Being alone is so lonely,” and received encouragement from Lee Min Jung to “meet someone good.” He also indirectly mentioned his divorce on programs such as Hyungsoo Is K.Will and Ordinary Thursday Night with Jo Hyun-ah.
However, Goo herself has spoken publicly about her divorce on shows like KBS2’s Park Won-sook’s Let’s Live Together, leading some to accuse her of hypocrisy. In response, she argued that her comments referred only to events after the divorce settlement, and criticized the media for failing to make that distinction in their reporting.
