The star is introverted, meaning he is sometimes quiet and reserved, reflecting his social media usage. The star even jokes about this in his Threads account bio, saying it was probably “another platform I probably won’t use.”

Recently, it was announced that the star found another way to make himself available to fans, but not everyone is a fan of the method or results.

Nearly a year ago, Mark teased a collaboration with Soul Machines, mentioning that he would create a digital twin, though fans were not initially clear what that would mean.

According to their website, Soul Machines is a deep technology company that “combines advancements in generative AI” with “Autonomous Animation” to create “alive digital people”.

The company works with celebrities like NBA All-Star Carmelo Anthony to create digital alter egos, allowing stars to “monetize their likenesses anywhere, any time, in any language.

On July 18, Mark’s digital twin was revealed as the company’s first digital celebrity enabled with Chat GPT, an artificial intelligence chatbot.

When interacting with “Digital Mark,” you can ask almost any question as he listens and answers to the best of his ability.

Some fans are excited about their favorite idol being “available” at any given time and welcome the new technological advancements.

Others are not fans of the idea, as the usage of AI has always brought mixed reactions. One of the concerns fueling the current SAG-AFTRA strike is the potential ability of a studio to use someone’s digital image indefinitely with no compensation.

Reasons like this have led to a general distrust of AI, including in this situation.
