TV Star And Idol Trainee Couple Under Fire For Using Their Divorce As Content
The ongoing saga of actress Ham So Won‘s divorce and potential reconciliation with her ex-husband, Jin Hua, keeps repeating itself. Even after officially acknowledging their divorce, their relationship remains ambiguously defined, and the repeated coverage has left the public feeling more fatigued than sympathetic.
Famous Celebrity Couple Admits To Kissing Even After Divorce
Ham So Won and former Chinese idol trainee Jin Hua married in 2018 and had a daughter, Hye Jeong, the same year, but their marriage ended in separation after five years. While they officially recognized the divorce at the time, images of them living together continued to surface, fueling persistent speculation about a so-called “fake divorce.”
The controversy reignited with MBN’s variety show Dongchimi.

On the January 20 and 27 broadcasts, the show revealed the cohabitation life of Ham So Won and Jin Hua, who continue to live under the same roof after their divorce. On air, Ham So Won surprised viewers by saying, “It’s been over two years since the divorce, but I’m currently living with my ex-husband Jin Hua.”
Regarding the reason for their cohabitation, Ham So Won explained, “Jin Hua and I work together on live broadcasts in China. He came to Korea frequently to see Hye Jeong, and since the child likes it, we naturally ended up living together.” Jin Hua added, “Hye Jeong wants her mom and dad to be together. That was the most important thing to me.”

The discussion even touched on the possibility of reconciliation, further fueling public debate.
Jin Hua candidly shared on the show, “Sometimes I think about what it would be like if we reconciled. If I improve, So Won improves, and then Hye Jeong benefits. It’s for the peace of the family.” Ham So Won also noted, “Jin Hua has changed a lot, and I can see his efforts,” showing that she has not completely closed the door on reconciliation.
On the upcoming January 31 broadcast, Dongchimi will continue the story under the theme, “Is reconciliation harder than divorce?”
Ham So Won said, “I’m currently making efforts to reconcile with my ex-husband Jin Hua,” and added, “After the broadcast, I thought that maybe if we make some effort, reconciliation could be possible. Before, every time we met, we argued, so I had no intention of reconciling, but living together made me think, ‘Maybe I should try a little harder.’”

As such, even after officially confirming their divorce, repeatedly revealing their cohabitation and the possibility of reconciliation through broadcasts has led many to express fatigue over the story rather than a sense of authenticity.
