Hearts2Hearts’ Carmen Goes Viral For Showcasing An Indonesian Habit On Korean Music Show Proudly
Hearts2Hearts‘ Carmen recently became the first Indonesian idol to debut under SM Entertainment. The group appeared on M!Countdown, performing their debut song “The Chase.”
The girls also had an interview before the show. Fans noticed that Carmen reached down to towards the ground.

For those who are unfamiliar with this, the motion showcases her Indonesian roots. The gesture is what one makes when they are passing by someone else. One says “permisi,” while they respectfully reach down towards the ground as a way of showing manners.

Carmen did so as she walked by the MC. Many praised her for her Indonesian manners. A post of her doing so went viral with over 900,000 views.

An Indonesian fan explained that Carmen was even going the extra mile to be polite with her palm open upwards.
in indonesia if someone want passing person/people in front of him/her they will take a bow while passing for being polite and the best part is when you bowing your hand is open up like carmen doing in the vid, thats indonesia's thing, and thats why its so funny for indonesian😂
