“High School Rapper” Contestant Charged With Sexual Harassment Against A Minor

The rapper inappropriately touched a 9-year-old.

A High School Rapper 1 contestant has been charged with sexual harassment against a minor.

A trial was held on April 27 KST at the 11th division of the Jeonju District Court against the rapper, who is suspected of violating the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes. The rapper was indicted on charges of sexual harassment and touching parts of a 9-year-old’s body, including the boy’s buttocks, in an incident in Haeundae, Busan in 2021.

The legal counsel for the rapper claimed the rapper was mentally and physically weak at the time, leading to poor judgement and actions.

The rapper’s legal counsel then added that the defendant was admitted to a mental hospital after being diagnosed with a severe mental disorder in 2021, and was caught laying in the middle of a street naked.

In their final defense, the rapper expressed their apologies to the victim and the victim’s family, and expressed their desire to improve on themselves in the future. The next hearing is scheduled for June 2022.
