The debut track, “What You Want,” was released on August 18, with the official music video being released the following day.

“What You Want” also debuted on streaming platforms like Spotify, and its first day of streams was recorded. On Spotify, the group received 133,647 streams in its first day and currently has 324,884 after the second, increasing the first-day streams by around 189,237.

This was shared by a popular update account, which has sparked reactions from netizens.

Many reactions mocked the group by sharing the debut streams of other groups, many of which had a higher number than CORTIS.

Others defended the group, reminding of the short promotion period before the group’s debut and that CORTIS are a rookie group. Others felt that the group would not be able to avoid criticism, stating that if the streams were too high, they’d be accused of “payola.”

As the group continues to promote their new release, only time will tell how it will affect their performance on the charts.
