When the interviewer asked the group their most “unhinged” coping mechanism, Megan responded, “Lexapro.”

Lexapro, also known as escitalopram, is a medication used to treat depression and generalized anxiety disorder. It is one of the most commonly prescribed medications for the two disorders, increasing the amount of serotonin in the brain to help regulate mood and emotions.  After Sophia questions what Lexapro is, Megan explains that she takes it as an anti-anxiety medication.

Many praised Megan’s comments as refreshing, mentioning that they also took anti-anxiety and antidepressants.
