Hyeri Almost Got Washed Away At Sea, Shares Frightening Details

Idol-turned-actress Hyeri has shared a dangerous experience she went through during her recent overseas trip.

The actress recently posted a video on her YouTube channel, documenting her vacation to the Maldives with her staff members. In the video, she shared a shocking anecdote from the previous night.

Hyeri recalled that she noticed the sky was full of stars, and to get a better look at them, she lay on a floating hammock tube on the sea, drifting and sky watching. Initially, the lights from her accommodation made it difficult to see the stars, but her eyes soon adjusted.

However, the situation quickly went from serene to panic-inducing as Hyeri realized she had been swept quite far away from her accommodation and could only see darkness farther ahead. When she tried to turn the float around and paddle back to her place, the strong winds made it impossible to move forward. The current also kept pushing her away from the shore.

Hyeri admitted that she got panicked at the moment and considered all possibilities, including calling her manager. But eventually, she gathered all her strength and started paddling with full force, without caring about keeping her phone dry. She was able to make progress slowly and finally reached her accommodation safely.

The story left Hyeri’s staff members shocked and concerned, wondering what would have happened if things had taken a different turn. But the actress reassured them that the situation was not life-threatening and she could laugh it off.
