HyunA Faces Criticism For Her Outfit During Recent Appearance
Singer HyunA has become a hot topic among netizens for the top she wore during a recent YouTube show appearance.
On April 18, the singer featured as a guest on Jo Hyun Ah’s YouTube show, Jo Hyun Ah’s Thursday Night.
During the conversation with the MC, HyunA talked about her relationship with Yong Junhyung, the controversial former idol who was involved in the infamous Burning Sun Scandal. Despite intense criticism against her association with a person like Yong, HyunA defended her decision, essentially choosing to ignore the public opinion about her boyfriend.
To be honest, I am very aware of what people think, but if I pay attention to that and chase the public’s approval, there are times when I lose the value of happiness. And so, rather than (people’s approval), I focus on myself right now.

This move expectedly brought a new wave of criticism her way. But the backlash did not end there. The singer’s choice of outfit during this appearance has also come under scrutiny.
HyunA was seen wearing a top featuring the phrase, “Siri, block ex number.”
The shirt irked netizens who felt that it clearly alluded to her former boyfriend and idol, Dawn, whom she dated from 2016 to 2022. Many felt that it was an unnecessary jab at Dawn, who has spoken quite respectfully about HyunA in public even after their split.
Netizens have expressed their disappointment at HyunA’s decision to wear the top, noting that it was inconsiderate of her, given that the entire country knows who her ex-boyfriend is. There was, however, no direct indication that the phrase on the top reflected how she felt about Dawn during the episode.
Meanwhile, the singer is set to make a comeback in May under her new agency.
