EXO-CBX Exposes The Alleged Truth, Refuting SM Entertainments Previous Claims
EXO-CBX has responded to SM Entertainment’s official statement via INB100. On October 30, CBX’s agency INB100 released their reply regarding SM Entertainment’s statement made earlier the same day.
Previously, EXO-CBX had claimed to be blindsided by SM Entertainment’s decision to exclude them from group promotions, claiming that they had done their best to match EXO’s group schedules.
EXO-CBX Claims To Have Been Blindsided By Their Ousting From The Group
Following their statement, SM Entertainment hit back, accusing EXO-CBX of damaging the group and more.
The excessive number of disputes has significantly damaged the trust between both sides. In addition, the harm done to EXO as a team — as well as the pain caused to fans and fellow members — has been substantial.

In response, EXO-CBX has released a play-by-play response to SM Entertainment’s claims.
SM Official Statement: “What our company (SM) requested from the three members (EXO-CBX) was simply to pay 10% of their individual activity revenue, as stipulated in the June 18, 2023 agreement. However, this has not yet been carried out.”
INB100: “EXO-CBX’s intention to pay 10% of revenue remains unchanged. Since the lawsuit is still ongoing, we plan to fulfill the payment once an agreement is reached and the legal process is concluded.”
SM Official Statement: “Due to numerous disputes, mutual trust between both parties has been significantly damaged, as well as harm caused to the EXO team, its members, and fans. Therefore, it was natural that the three members should first fulfill the existing agreement and make sincere efforts to restore trust.”
INB100: “All discussions were conducted on the premise of ‘EXO full-group activities.’ EXO-CBX has clearly expressed its intention to carry out the existing agreement, has been in direct communication with the members, and has been striving to continue as part of the team.”
SM Official Statement: “Contrary to the three members’ claim that they accepted all conditions and clearly expressed their intention to agree after the second mediation session on October 2, they were the first to file an objection on October 16.”
INB100: “EXO-CBX informed SM of their intention to pay 10% of individual activity revenue before and after the mediation date and was waiting for SM’s final response. However, since the amount suggested by the mediation committee on October 2 was an arbitrary calculation unrelated to both parties’ agreement, both sides stated at the mediation session that they could not accept it. Once the document was delivered, both sides filed objections on October 16. This was a standard procedural step, and the claim that EXO-CBX had no intention to reach an agreement is not true.”

INB100 concluded with an apology to fans and pledged that EXO-CBX would stay faithful to the agreement.
“We sincerely apologize to the fans who have felt confused and concerned during the legal process with SM Entertainment. CBX will faithfully carry out the existing agreement and do their best to restore trust with the members and reach an amicable resolution with SM Entertainment.”
