INFINITE’s Lee Sungyeol is set to release a special album expressing his sincere gratitude towards his fans.
The digital single “Asteroid” will be released on December 12 and includes three tracks: the title song “Asteroid,” as well as “One Step Closer” and “DIVE.” This project will also be available as a photobook album, making it even more special.
On the 8th, his agency Management 2SANG stated, “This song sincerely reflects Lee Sungyeol’s deep appreciation for the love he has received from fans over a long period. It is a heartfelt and carefully crafted piece embodying emotions and stories he has held close to his heart for a long time.” They added, “It deeply captures his wish to convey the most honest feelings to his fans.”
Regarding the title track, “Asteroid,” they explained, “Sungyeol personally collaborated with the composer on the tone, lyrical expression, emotional details, and preserving the song’s original charm to deliver his feelings directly to the fans, adding greater authenticity.”
The title track “Asteroid” delicately depicts a heart wavering in the face of love, like a small star drifting through the vast universe. Sung-yeol’s whisper-like vocals over the gentle melody evoke the image of an asteroid slowly circling and eventually merging into each other’s orbits, showcasing his deepened sensitivity and musical identity most vividly.
Sungyeol expressed, “I am able to sing thanks to Inspirit and Dear-yeol, who always listen to the music of Infinite and me, laugh with us, and share emotions.” He added, “I’m really looking forward to the paths we will continue to walk together,” conveying his heartfelt gratitude to his fans.
Sungyeol plans to hold an Asia fan meeting tour in the first half of next year, preparing for a meaningful time to meet fans face-to-face after a long time.
