Actor Ji Sung Revealed to Suffer From Spondylosis

“It’s very hard for me to even brush my teeth.”

Actor Ji Sung recently revealed for the first time that he has been dialogized with spondylosis on tvN’s recent episode of Run.

Ahead of the marathon he was set to run, Ji Sung appeared to be quite nervous compared to his peers.

And the reason for that was soon revealed in an interview he had with the show’s producers.

Ji Sung surprised both the producers and viewers with his confession of a medical diagnosis.

When I went to the hopsital, they told me I had spondylosis and that I’ll have to endure discomfort and inconveniences in my life.

He also explained what the disease means for him and what has changed as a result.

There are things that are easy for other people but difficult for me. For example, other people brush their teeth easily, but for me, I have to use a lot of force with my shoulders. And it caused a lot of symtoms in my back, so I have to be extra careful when I exercise.

Ji Sung set a goal to finish the marathon, and although he was worried that he would get injured, he shared that he did it for his daughter.

When my daughter gets married one day, I want to be a father who can stand up straight. By the time she gets married, I’ll be around 70. I want to be a 70-year-old grandfather that she can be proud of.

– Ji Sung

He explained that he wants to be a father that his daughter can feel like she can depend on.

As a father, I want my daughter to think that I’m cool. From my daugther’s standpoint, I could look cool to her no matter my age, but I want her to see me as someone she can trust and rely on.
