JINI Sparks Buzz With First Interaction With NMIXX Since Her Mysterious Exit Nearly 3 Years Ago

Fans were not expecting this.

In 2022, NMIXX debuted as a seven-member group under JYP Entertainment, marking the company’s first girl group since the debut of ITZY in 2019.

The group released an additional single album in September of that year, before it was announced in December that member JINI would no longer be a member of the group. Her contract was terminated for “personal reasons,” as the group continued as a six-membered unit.

The following year, it was announced that JINI had signed with a new agency for the management of her career, with plans to make an acting debut. In October 2023, she made her solo debut with the release of her first and only album to date. She most recently made her acting debut in Boy.

Given the mysterious nature of her departure, fans have wondered what exactly happened and whether there were any issues between the members; however, they were recently surprised by an unexpected interaction.

NMIXX have been promoting their highly successful track “Blue Valentine,” which has won the most 1st place trophies of any of their comebacks.

One of the posts of the group celebrating a win was discovered to have been reposted by JINI on her personal account.

This is the first time she has publicly interacted with any of the group since her departure, and many fans were emotional over the show of support from JINI. Many commented that even if it was done accidentally, it shows that she was looking at positive content of her former group.
