SM Entertainment is facing criticism after a concept photo for NCT’s 10th anniversary pop-up event appeared to show member Jisung with six fingers on one hand.

The image was part of a newly released set of teaser photos celebrating NCT’s upcoming anniversary project. However, fans quickly noticed something strange about Jisung’s hand, with screenshots spreading rapidly across social media and online communities. Many immediately began suspecting AI-generated editing or excessive retouching due to the unnatural-looking extra finger.

The controversy grew even bigger after SM Entertainment quietly updated the image about an hour later.

Instead of fully editing or replacing the photo, the company reportedly simply cropped out the problematic hand area, something that only fueled fans’ frustration further.

Many fans expressed disappointment that such an obvious mistake appeared in official promotional material for a major anniversary project, especially from one of the industry’s biggest companies.

The incident has since reignited broader discussions online about AI usage, rushed editing, and declining quality control in K-Pop promotional content.
