Ju Haknyeon Personally Addresses Prostitution Scandal Through Handwritten Letter

He denied the matter.

It was announced on June 18, 2025 (KST), that Ju Haknyeon would be leaving THE BOYZ. According to an exclusive report by News1, which cited Japan’s Shūkan Bunshun, Ju Haknyeon and acquaintances were spotted meeting former Japanese adult video actress Asuka Kirara at a bar in Tokyo’s Roppongi district. In the wake of the report, One Hundred Label swiftly ended their contract with Ju Haknyeon and confirmed his removal from the agency.

It was reported in Korean news outlets that he had, allegedly, solicited her prostitution services as well. Ju Haknyeon took to his Instagram to deny the matter and apologize. He wrote a letter to fans and the public.

Hello, this is Ju Haknyeon.

Firstly, I’m sorry to have concerned everyone with such unpleasant matters as well as the fans who were very shocked by the news reports about me.

On May 30, 2025, I was present at a gathering with alcohol involved around dawn, along with my acquaintances. It is true that I was there, but it is totally untrue that I participated in either illegal actions or prostitution as suggested by articles and rumors. I am deeply reflecting on my actions and want to offer my sincerest apologies to those who were shocked.
