47-Year-Old TV Star’s Sweet Interaction With 27-Year-Old Hoobae Fuels Dating Rumor
Newscaster-turned-TV-star Jun Hyun Moo‘s interaction with a hoobae newscaster 20 years younger than him has since been interpreted as more than a friendly gesture.
In a teaser for an upcoming episode of KBS‘s Boss In The Mirror, newscaster Hong Joo Yeon was spotted receiving a surprise gift from Jun Hyun Moo. Fellow newscaster Eom Ji In delivered a cake and postcard, revealing “Hyun Moo sunbae sent [them]” for Hong Joo Yeon upon hearing she had to work a night shift on Christmas Eve.
The postcard, written in Jun Hyun Moo’s handwriting, read, “Working late on Christmas Eve? I hope this gets you feeling festive, even just a little.”
Given how thoughtful and personal the gift was, Boss In The Mirror hosts watching from the studio speculated there might be something more than sunbae-hoobae camaraderie between the two. In fact, host Kim Sook fueled the dating rumor even more as she playfully hinted that “Jun Hyun Moo’s style has changed drastically recently.”

Previously, on the same show, Hong Joo Yeon admitted that Jun Hyun Moo is her “ideal type.” Given this history, Boss In The Mirror hosts and viewers could not help but wonder if a 2025 couple is really in the making.
Jun Hyun Moo has been in two very public relationships with model Han Hye Jin and newscaster Lee Hye Sung. After his breakup with Lee Hye Sung in 2022, Jun Hyun Moo remained single—though in 2024, after being spotted with a ring on his finger, Jun Hyun Moo was rumored to be getting married and leaving the cast of I Live Alone.
