Popular K-Drama Actor Reveals He Once Went On A Blind Date With Fellow Actress—And What Happened After

In the latest episode of KBS‘s Problem Child In House, actor Jung Il Woo revealed that he once went on a blind date with a fellow actress before his debut—as well as the reason he didn’t end up in a romantic relationship with her.

While answering quiz questions, one about dating came up. That’s when Jung Il Woo mentioned an experience from his college days. He said he once went on a group blind date that worked out for all of his friends but him.

A blind date was set up between a group of me and my friends majoring in broadcasting and entertainment and another group of girls majoring in acting. All the other guys ended up connecting and dating someone, but only one girl and I were left behind. Eventually, we became friends.

Then, to everyone’s surprise, Jung Il Woo revealed that he actually met the one and only actress Im Se Mi (Lim Se Mi) at that group date!

When asked why he and Im Se Mi didn’t explore a romantic relationship back then, Jung Il Woo admitted he wasn’t good at making the first move to keep things going.

I don’t remember exactly why, but I’ve always been introverted, so I wasn’t the type to approach someone first or try to impress them.

The two may not have dated, but Jung Il Woo and Im Se Mi did build a friendship and are now known besties in the industry!
