After Heeseung shared a heartfelt letter explaining his decision and reflecting on his six years with ENHYPEN, many fans expressed shock and sadness over the sudden announcement. As discussions spread across online communities, some ENGENE began looking back at Jungwon’s previous comments to fans.

One statement that caught particular attention was when Jungwon told fans that he can’t stop them from being sad, but he could make them happy. This was said late February, just a few weeks before news of the departure.

However, after the recent developments, some believe it may have been a subtle way of acknowledging that fans might soon feel hurt or disappointed. Not only that, other fans also recalled Jungwon making comments about how “nothing lasts forever,” which some now believe may have been an attempt to prepare fans emotionally.

As Jungwon is the leader of the group, some netizens believe Jungwon may have been trying to avoid giving fans false hope while still offering comfort.
